My wife Lisa and I have made Bloomington our home since 2002. Our three kids, as of fall 2022, are in Bloomington elementary, middle, and Kennedy high schools. I am passionate about increasing high school student participation in, and access to, extracurricular activities of all kinds. I strongly believe that student activities and athletics lead to better academic performance, attendance, and development of the whole self.

I have worked for Hennepin County for over 25 years, currently serving as the capital budget manager. I have a BA from the University of Minnesota and a MBA from the University of St. Thomas. In addition to BKAF, I also serve on the board of the Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County and volunteer with the Scouts BSA. To reenergize, I enjoy spending time outdoors- hiking, camping, kayaking and skiing with my family.
